Stunning! Full of brilliance and charm! Unbelievable! Music reviewers just love them. Since their inception in 2009, Submotion Orchestra has truly become a genre-defying ensemble.
Having delivered several exciting shows in Prague, this electro-jazz band has already found a lot of devoted fans in the Czech Republic, who would be willing to sell their kidney just to see and hear them again. And now they can.
After 5 years, they are coming back to Prague as part of their European tour to introduce not only the brand new tracks from the album Kites coming out on March 9, 2018.
With their new album Kites, they do not try to please their audience or label. In the last two years there has been a number of significant personal events for all band members, including new life and family death.
Using these events as creative inspiration, they each bought a disposable camera and took photos based on the themes these events represented, selecting 10 photos to be used as the inspiration for the 10 tracks on the album. Each track explores a different emotion, theme or event. It is an extremely personal album brimming with honesty and beauty.
Submotion Orchestra draws inspiration from dubstep, jazz, breakbeat and ambient. Their concerts represent perfect harmony and effective match of fragile motifs and melodies with dense beats, bass and captivating vocals.
